I picked up this wood as part of the I-95 effort in Eastern CT. I can't find anything on the internet that I can match to this. Any Ideas?

Looks like red oak to me.....

The first pic is red oak, black birch, and ???
 
My fist thought is silver maple. Got lots of it in the back yard plus a tree in the front.
 
Maple. I see no Rays in the end grain. Take a close up of a couple of the ends and I'll be able to tell for sure.
 
Does look like young silver maple. Probably a smaller tree growing along a fence row.
 
Another maple vote, if css asap it should be good for Oct.
 
What maple is it? Silver maple is bone white on the inside, this wood has color, I bet some pictures of splits would help us all out....
 
It's Aspen
 
It must be aspen...very light weight too, compared to the oak and black birch

It is all Bigtooth Aspen. There are lots of Bigtooth Aspen here in PA that look similar. It is light wood, but really easy to process. I'd pick it up if it were easy to get.
 
In the first pic, the piece on the bottom toward the right of center really looks like black birch. The rest looks like aspen (called poplar when I was in CT).

Bah. Light weight. Saws tear thru it. Splits with a half-hearted wack. "Dries in a weekend". Great to use to start fires or to have a quick shoulder burn. Hardly any effort at all. It is what it is, but to act like you're putting forth the effort of processing oak is just false. You can hand split a half cord in no time. I just did it.
