Snowing here (at work in Manch-Vegas), even though it is 40. At home, it is probably 10 degrees cooler (as it usually is), so may be sticking there. Not as bad as some places in Canada though.
It is an epic mud season in central NH. It was the lead in the local TV news yesterday. That's we all have 4wd in this area. Snow can be plowed and you can just wait it out. Mud on the other hand stays around for several weeks and will suck your 2wd into the ditch. Even in 4 wheel you must keep momentum or risk a walk through ankle deep goo.
The seasons are winter, mud and sugaring, Blackfly,summer and hunting.
The pellet stove did not shut down today on room temp. I plan on running until tax day and calling it quits. Other wise I risk going from pellet stove to AC in the same week.

Here in more southerly NH, the snow melt was so slow that the mud hasn't been too bad. Had much worse mud seasons in recent memory. Helps that we haven't had much rain on top of the snow - otherwise we would also be knee-deep in mud.
Its interesting, Vermont towns are not fans of paved roads and mud season can be pretty epic, you rarely hear about it its so prevalent. In NH when it bad it makes the news. Maine is somewhere in between.

Funny though, I read in a local paper yesterday about how tame the mud season is this year (usually they just close roads to anything over 5-6 tons and don't mention it at all in the local papers). Just like the weather, the newsies are grappling with getting anything out there on a slow news day.
