As we are ending this seasons successful burning of 2+ tons with enough left for the next 2 weeks, I have an igniter/blower question.....I have a backup igniter and a backup combustion motor and next fall I will be starting season 6 with the original igniter and combustion blower...they work fine, but I am curious about their longevity from other M55 owners....? In season 2, I swapped out the convection blower with the upgraded model and all is well there. I have replaced door gaskets and my top (bearing sliders) but otherwise that's it! I've always done a full (Enviro Monthly clean) every 7 days. Should I just go ahead this summer/fall and replace both or just wait until one dies and then replace that item. I am afraid that next January on a cold night I am going to be pulling the baby out and freezing my ass off.
Appreciate any thoughts, Thanks, Bill

I am of the mind that if it ain't broke don't fix it :cool:

Always have a spare and it won't be needed. Don't fix it till it breaks..

If you're more interested in reliability than cost, change them now, and use the originals as spares for an emergency. Otherwise, I agree - if it ain't broke...
