I can't believe that I am back to burning this time of year, usually I'm done for awhile by now, but this wacky weather is so damp and chilly I'm burning smaller pieces of wood that I give away to friends with chimeneas or use for camping! It works, but wow, this is late, for me anyway! Monday was in the low 70's, now it's the mid 40's, tomorrow they want low 70's again....no wonder lots of folks are sick!

I have a small stove so I always burn small chiminea wood. I don't always burn it in April though. I think tonight might be the last burn of the year.

Last 2 years I was burning in May.....

The snow just melted here and its still randomly in the 30°s. Im burning poplar now and small limbs. I'll be burning till May, totally confident on that.

This year has certainly been whacky. I was hoping to have more stock piled by now, but the snow just melted and I just shut my stove down. Its looking up from here...hopefully.
