Englander 25pdv question

Hello Group,

New here, but not new to pellet stoves. I bought an Englander 25-pdvc 3 years ago and loved it. It was rated to heat 1500 sq. feet and did just great, however, my house, all on one floor, is 2200 square feet so I decided to upgrade this year to the 25pdv rated at 2200 square feet. Here is my question, I just installed it tonight, heats very well and looks great, however, it seems the fan which circulates the hot air is not quite as adjustable as I believe it should be. On the old englander I just removed, I could adjust from
0 - 9 fan speed setting with 0 being no fan at all and 9 being the fastest. On the new stove, as I understand the directions is identicle to my old one with 1 being the slowest and 9 being the fastest. Heres the problem: fan speed 1 is extremely fast, more like what 5 was on the old stove. When I turn up the fan speed, I can hear and feel the fan going faster up until number 5 which is really fast, then numbers 6, 7, 8 and 9 there is no change at all in fan speed. It almost seems as if the number 1 is the fifth speed and number 5 is the ninth speed. So I guess what I am trying to say is the number 1 speed is way to fast and there is no difference in settings 6 - 9. What is going on???

I really want the option of turning it down as it is running way to fast for my taste at the number 1 setting. I loved my old 25pdvc stove and its capability to have the fan run so slow it couldnt be heard or to be able to turn it off completely. Hope someone like Mike chimes in here.
