I just conjured this up from the belly of the beast. From Wed at 2230. Does that make a 57.5 hour burn? ;lol

Ok all you BK owners. ...I'm hitting the road and have brew funds! I'll be traveling around Ohio, lower Michigan late next week and the entire following week. Then after a day home for laundry I'll be in Massachusetts and other NE states. Send pm with where you live and if possible I'll get a hold of you for a brew. In next 8 weeks I'll be on the road all but 6 days....

Let me know if you're around Ann Arbor. Plenty of fun places for you to buy me beer.

Hopefully you are gonna make a decent dealer in the area.

Maybe. My friend Gordon VanAmberg is the owner of Van's Archery. I have always wanted to stop by and see him as well. PM a cell number so if I can make it happen I will.

Not if the cat was inactive

Pfffft. Technicality.

Actually, I spent most of the day yesterday wishing the stove was cold. Forecast was off a little bit, but it sure was nice to have all the windows open.

Driven by Van's a bazillion times, never been in there.

Syracuse is out west.. I'm up by Saratoga, right up the Hudson.

No worries though, I'm gonna be working a ton this week so not sure if I'd have time anyways.. have a good trip!
My NY trip is a few weeks out....I'll let you know when I have a better schedule.

saratoga is about 2 hours south from here, any idea if your coming to the real upstate ny?

Lit the princess up again, funny that it was 80deg the other day. The one thing I noticed was I had a solid 1.5 inches of ash as a base, the stove heated up to active zone much faster on the cold start today then it did when I had minimal ash in it last week.

Supposed to get back down to the mid to upper 30's here the next few nights. Looks like I'll be firing the Princess back up.

It's not over yet! Cats glowin, dogs happy. Was 60 when I got home this evenin, working on 68 now, 1 hr into the burn. Gotta love the fan kit.

Just got my king in the other day. I can't believe how big it is. Looks kinda cool with the fan kit on.

Congrats on the new stove. I'm looking forward to the 15-16 BK thread

They do look cool, very different. The princess/king has long been known for unique looks. Whether you like the look or not you quickly realize that this stove is like no other.

Just wait until you run it. That's when you see the more important qualities that set the BK line apart from anything else. No other stove comes close to the performance that you get from a BK cat stove. It's pretty silly how long you can run on one load of wood with that king. Double anything else on the market from anybody.

How's the fine folk in the BK thread doing?

Well it's spring here. Iam sorry if your still in the grasp of winter's kindness.

So it begins again.

Enjoy the summer & fall everyone. See you guys next season.

We're still burning almost every night, probably another few weeks. The BK's low and slow is a great thing right now since without that ability I would be starting little flash fires two or three times a day.

Agreed. Been in the 40s at night here. Gonna get ready to have a fire tonight for the first time in a while. Chris has been helping me with my smoke smell problem. We'll see if it's fixed and I'll post an update at some point.
