Hey guys - in preparation for the upcoming stove install, I dropped my digital camera down my chimney. Check it out.

No comments on the state of the flue tiles? I'm new to this, so the chimney looks good as far as I'm concerned. I was hoping that someone might be able to point out any trouble spots?

Look pretty good. Did not see any obvious cracks. Tough to tell if smaller ones though. Joints for the most part looked ok best I could see.
Are you running S.S. liner up there?

Yes - I have a 25'x6" forever flex liner that I'll be installing. Just have to have the building inspector come out and give me a permit.

Nice, very nice.

Did you make your alcohol stove yourself? It's an addiction, I've probably made 50 for myself and friends. I actually use an Ultralight Outfitters beercan stove, it's just the simplest for me, while being sturdy enough to take my abuse.

A 3-D camera would be cool there too! We'll call it "20,000 Flue Tiles Under the Sea"- we'll be famous(er)! Really cool idea, seriously.

Shonuff - made a couple of alcohol stoves. Got it down so that it's a press fit with no glue or tape. Most reliable that way I figure. Stoves don't get any lighter than half of an empty beer can.

Why does that remind me of Katie Couric's televised colonoscopy???
