Check your local Home Depots. Just bought a brand new Echo CS-310 for $60.

Stopped at my local Home Depot today. They had a bunch of assorted power equipment outside the garden center chained up and at very reduced prices. They had power washers, mowers, weed whackers, etc. It was labeled reconditioned/returns.

Saw this Echo CS-310 for $87.75. I could tell it was never used by inspecting it. When I inquired further with an employee he said there was a sale for an additional 35% off reconditioned/returned equipment this week. So check your local HD's. They also had a ton of rental equipment at great prices as well. I ended up buying it and took it home. It fired right up and ran great. It was literally brand new in the box with the oil, manuals and tool in the box.

I am a newbie and have a Husky 435 and wasn't sure how the Echo's are but figured for the money it was a good deal. Are these any good? Some research shows that some people say they are pretty well built saws.

Good little saw. And you stole it at that price.

Well, for $60 buck, it doesn't matter how good it is....you can use it for the weekend and throw it away if you don't like it.;);lol;lol

Good deal though.

It most likely has a "Safety" chain on it. I would ditch that and get a decent chisel or semi-chisel (at least chisel with just bumper guards). Unless you are VERY new to cutting, then keep the chain that came with it for awhile.

Enjoy!

I have the CS-300 and love it. It's a great little saw. You scored!!

Nice Score!

That little Echo will treat you well. Check the tune on it before you run it too hard. Reviews say they tend to come a little lean out of the box.

How many were there, which HD did you go to? I'm in New Haven for $60 I'll go get one after work!

Might want to check the thread dates before rushing to your local HD.

Ahh I saw April 18th and got excited, the 2014 part may have been important haha
