Stack toppled!

I've had stacks fall. Most of us have. Wood shifts as it dries. Sheet happens.

Like that could possibly ever happen at my place!

I had a little crash, maybe about 1/3 cord out of a 4-cord stack. I'm tempted to blame it on the women that stacked it, but the other end of the stack crashed a few months back, the beginning of the row which I stacked.

Either that or shes sending you a message to stack it yourself!

Been there, done that...Its a good sign that your wood is drying out.

Yeah me to. I was in the house and heard a sound like thunder and went to the yard to inspect. I had a half cord that had toppled over. It didn't look like anyone noticed so I busied myself and re stacked it. I had stacked it on dunage and since I've been using pallets it hasn't happened again although I have a stack of birch that has a suspicious lean to it....

I thought it was supposed to take a tumble, that's when it's telling you it ready to be burned...... I single stack my and it happens.....

Well, my wife did snowblow the driveway when I had a foot operation. Had to put together written directions.

Where I am the wind will blow my stacks over. I have put some rebar in the ground next to them with a 2x4 side ways which helps. When they start drying and tilting I will prop them up with some junk 1x4 I have laying around.

Been there done that. Haha.....Honestly though, here is a simple rule as to when your fully recovered...When you can cough or sneezee will no pain at all...your recovered. GO SLOW...DON'T RUSH THINGS...Good luck....

ps...Hernia Surgery: Reason 858 why you should be 3-4 yrs ahead on wood.

Took me 4 weeks to fully recover. Slow and Steady...

Keep at it Scooter. I had my own surgery over 35 years ago and it was almost immediately better than the day before the surgery. Even though I felt every cough and such I knew that they had sewn me up better than I would have been without the surgery. The sutures were stronger than my own tissue, so I knew it was better. After a month or a bit less I never worried about coughing at all. That was the real benefit.
