Hello All
I have a p35i had it installed January 2011 and did a dollar bill test on the door gasket top is tight. bottom dollar bill can be pulled right threw the whole bottom .. Does it need to be replaced ?? Called 3 harman dealers 2 of them said replace the other said no ... So what's your thoughts

Yes, its a easy job. Air going in where it shouldn't reduces your burn pots air. Possibly sooting up the stove and quickly reducing the exchangers ability to conduct heat.

It's probably about that time to replace the rope gaskets. It is inexpensive and I just did it on my used stove. It's an easy little project and the rope kits are cheap. I paid $7 for each of the two I just bought a month ago. Just a little elbow grease.

3/8 or 1/2 inch?

It's hard to remember which size I used but it was one of those two sizes. I know, useless answer. It should state which size in your manual. I don't have the P43 so I am unsure and size could be model specific. Use the search bar here or check your manual.

I am pretty sure you need 3/8" rope but double check.

The 45s take a 3/8 like the picture I posted in this thread

Thanks, will pick up a 3/8" kit over at East Coast on way home today.
