This is what happened today. I did some cutting, turned the saw off and put it down. When I went back to get it, I saw that the chain was off.
I had trouble getting the chain back on, and determined that one of the links was jamming in the channel of the bar. It seemed to be burred a bit, and I filed down, and it fit okay, although at first it wasn't smooth. I finished cutting and everything was fine.
Can you explain what caused that?
