I bought a reconditioned 2005 25-PDV and set it up Sunday. Sunday and Monday it worked fantastic. When I came home from work yesterday the stove had gone out. There were no error codes, but no pellets were coming out of the auger. I removed all of the pellets and vaccumed out the top and bottom auger. It started up fine after that, (about 4:00 PM). I left the house aroung 8:00pm the stove was running perfect and when I came home at 11:00 the stove was out again. Once again there was no error message, but no pellets working there way down. I assumed it was jambed so I again removed the pellets and cleaned it out. It started right up, after that but started make a very loud clicking sound even though pellets were coming out a normal rate. Then about 20 minutes after it started up pellets stopped coming out of the auger again and the clicking stopped. What is wrong with this thing? I am really frustrated and COLD.

biohill - is it a metal clicking sound? Loud, or really faint? It almost sounds to me like the exhaust sensor vacuum switch is opening and closing. If this is the case, it could be caused by the switch being bad, a clogged exhaust, or too long of an exhaust run...

Hopefully Mike from Englander stoves will come along and give you some advice...

It is a metal clicking sound, but the exhaust pipe is only 1ft throught the wall and then 3ft up to the elbow and end. Is that considered long?

Nope, that's not considered long, I don't think.

You may want to also check and see if the rubber hose running from the vacuum switch to the exhaust fan motor is clogged up. You can also swirl a toothpick around the port on the motor to make sure it's cleaned out.

Depending on where you bought the stove, it may have a warranty on it. I'd give Englander a ring when you have a chance and see if they'll help you out. I'm under a warranty still, so I'm not sure if they will still give you free advice on the phone if you're not under warranty or not...

The motor is turning fine but the auger is not perhaps? Thus resulting in no error code of a jammed auger-how does the auger connect to the motor-can that slip? The clicking sound could be the motor slipping on the connection to the auger? Just a thought-wish I had a picture...pete

I think there's a couple of set screws that connect the motor to the auger itself. I have a 25-pdvc, which is a smaller model than yours, so it may be different.
