Seems a little steep to me. Given I'd have to buck and split it. What is everyone seeing for full log length semi-loads delivered in Michigan?

We just paid $450.00 for a load of hard wood lengths here in NNJ, mostly maple & ash, a few birch and oak length, probably around 7 cord total.

Have you gotten any other quotes? What's the going rate for cut and split firewood? Seems high to me, but I'm in NY.

That is very high to me
The lad next door just got a load 7 to 8 cord log length
white oak and sugar maple mix for $1000
temped to get one myself . Then the better half remained me
that we own 200 areas of mixed hard wood

If I had 1900.00 I would buy fuel oil. That is regulated by Weighs and Measures.
Where I am in NY its 100.00 cord log length, regardless of species.

pass, pass & PASS!
You can damn near get it already split for that much...

I've seen 20 cord loads on craigslist, delivered to SE Michigan from the central/northern part of the state for $2000-2200.

$200/cord will get it cut, split, delivered, and stacked around here.

I ran into the same thing, called around to price a log load in South east Michigan and the prices were like this (way high). Craigslist is full of guys selling face cords of ash for 50$ split and delivered. I would find a good one and get it that way for about the same money.

Me and my neighbor ordered 2 full loads 22-23 cords each (total about 45 cords, log length) together for 115$ a cord to Howell, MI. I ordered from him 2 years ago and it was 104$ a cord... so his prices have gone up a little.

I will PM you the name of the guy. Nice mix of hardwood (maple, oak, ash, cherry....of course a few pieces of birch and some other soft woods stuck in there but not bad).

I will PM you his name and number. He stops advertising around June. If you have searched Craigslist though his posting have probably popped up for you however.

Better deals to be had on kalamazoo craigslist than that

Wayyy to much. Pass.

At 75$ a cord and in Gaylord that is going to be local only. The amount of gas to drive from Gaylord to SE or SW Michigan is substantial.

Jeff, I know it has been a while since this post, but I'm curious which area of SE MI are you searching to see those kinds of ads (for lot of full cords delivered in the state).

I see this is an old thread but I am here just north of Ann Arbor in whitmore lake. I have been wanting to look into s semi load down here for awhile. Anyone in the area know of anything?

I haven't looked for firewood in a long time. There used to be posts for 20 cord loads of logs in the winter on the Ann Arbor Craigslist. I want to say it was Cook Forest Products from Harrison, but I can't swear to it. I know they're still in business, as I drive by there every week or two.

Thanks for the info, Jeff! I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to this older thread.

I live in Ionia and have been buying wood last 3 winters. Most I have paid for cut and split ash was 180 a cord. Or roughly 1600 for 9. Mainly I have been getting it around 150 cut and split. I just have to go pick it up
