Cassie is a dream dog! this transpired over a 15 minute period....she loves the heat from the fire...and often times, competes with my cat Charlie for the hearth rug...
The fireplace is truly shared by all occupants at this house!
 
So funny you were able to catch her in the moment.
If my cat is curled up in front of the stove neither of
my 2 labbies have a chance. Cat refuses to share :)
 
Now that's what I call a "ruf" life!
