Is Bailey's bar oil as good as Stihl???

Reason I ask is I'm running low on Stihl bar oil and stopped at my dealer the other day and was unpleasantly suprised at the price per gallon. Bailey's is appreciably cheaper, in fact if I boiught a case of gallons, with shipping it's way cheaper.

Any opinions on the Bailey branded oil versus Stihl?

They are both overpriced for what they are. If it flows and is tacky enough, just about any dedicated bar oil is sufficient. I can get a gallon of TSC or Poulan for $7 locally (depending on which one is on sale). The trick is to find which one you like best for your cutting habits. Heck, you might even like canola oil!

I'd shop for local sales at big box stores. Seems to go really cheap especially in the spring.

It is all 30 weight with some residual from the bottom of the cat cracker to "tacify" it. Next stop for the rest of the resid is the asphalt unit.
