I feel you, brother of the south. It was a hot, dry and breezy day today, which is good for seasoning my stacks. Going to get a moisture meter tomorrow, maybe have a yard fire because I can't wait for fall either.

Fall? heck we haven't had summer yet

It's 39 here this morning. Supposed to go up to 71.

Sorry - but I have to rub it in for those days in February when it was -22.

Yeah seems like the rain will never end here! Just think if this rain was snow. I'd be prepared..can't say my neighbors would! Ha!!

Man 53 would be lovely about right now. You can't even set outside on the deck without pouring sweat here. I imagine the stihl will lay quiet for awhile

We have a "special weather statement" for Sunday with high winds, gobs of rain, and cool temps. May have to bring in some punky stuff to burn. This way, if it gets too hot, I just run the air too.:p

I hear ya. :)

The tree company guys have been good to us, dropped another load Thursday evening. The rounds are piling up. Not complaining, just sayin'... it's been too hot and muggy out to work up firewood.

Would love to get caught up but ain't gonna try it in this weather.

90F here right now maybe more.

Got the last load this morning and have been splitting, on and off all day.

Harden up princess.

I lived in Mississippi for two years, and there is not enough money in the world to make me move back. Give me the cool north any day.

Nothing in the 90s for the next week, several low 80s...nice little break.

I lived in WI for 30 yrs. I found that when my hands got cold they didn't work, so I moved to where the grass is green all winter. Cool enough here for me... never going back to that god-forsaken frozen tundra. <>

Low 40s here this morning. Slept under four blankets last night.

71 forecast high today. Gonna put the splitter back together and try it out...
