I grabbed a few rounds from a drop site around some telephone wires. I think it's cedar or some type of pine. Any idea?

Kinda looks like Sass; What does it smell like?
I agree on the Sassafras call...the orange bark is a telltale sign and it should smell pinesy like Mr. Clean!

Now that bark looks like sassafras, that other ID we were all guessing at kind of looks like this but not the bark.
