Hi, I have a Frigidaire range around 8 years old. When i turn the oven on bake, and it gets up to temp the element cycles on for about five seconds then off about five seconds. It does this over and over. Anyone know what is wrong with it ?

Prolly that. Or possibly a bad or missing door gasket letting it cool down too quickly?

google the make and model # with small description of the problem. Your probably not alone with this problem.

You could go to repairclinic.com, put in your model number, and they may have a troubleshooting video.

Might be the design. I know my GE range top burners cycle as a way to provide a specified output. Irritating as heck when using low mass frying pans and one of the biggest reasons I want to go back to gas.

It didn't do it when it was new. there was a honeycomb looking thing in a tunnel that goes from the oven to a back burner that broke out. Not sure what it was for or if it could have caused the problem. I did google it and look into it a little, but didn't see anything pertaining to my issue.

That honeycomb gizmo is probably there to reduce the smoke coming out when you clean the oven. I don't see how it could cause your problem, but then again there's lots I don't know. I may also help to hold the heat in the oven, but I doubt it's a big factor.

The smoke filter may have slowed down the oven venting. It should be cheap to replace. I'd start with that.
