hey everyone. I wanted to know if the hydraulic cap screw is supposed to screw in all the way. I can only get mine about half way before it won;t let me turn it any further

I have the Ariens 22 ton model and have the same issue. I've come to the conclusion it is by design and have stopped worrying about it. When it arrived and I first used it, I was a bit surprised. I was expecting something more like a gas or oil cap on a lawn mower, but I guess you need something more heavy duty to deal with the high pressure.
 
If it's the cap I'm picturing, it's pipe thread, which has a taper so it seals as it screws in. Halfway seems about right.
