The mill is located around 50 miles east of Cincinnati. I'm not sure of the quality of these pellets; however, the previous producer, Pennington, had many complaints about the pellet length being too long.

As soon as i saw "Pennington" i had my doubts about these. May pass for now and wait for heating season before buying a couple. Tough to drop $269 for a pellet with no record as of yet

We burned 5 bags last season and did not care for that brand. It produced entirely too much ash and the heat output was not the greatest compared to other brands.

May grab a couple bags to try.

Thanks for the pics corkman, I'll know 'em when I see them now.

Always a good idea to try a couple of bags, before committing to a bulk purchase, irregardless of brand.

Interesting that there is no info on the bags as per PFI standards.

The company is listed on the PFI website, so that may change at some point.. (Dunno what's involved in getting the certs needed to list on the bag.)

I know you guys are 'on-the-fence' about the (old brand name) pellets: (my experience w/ them wasn't stellar either) but:

New owners, new management, (hopefully much better QC in place), it's a new day.. the sun is shining, etc. etc. - I'd give them a try.
