What's funny is that wood is like money. The more you have the more you burn! You may watch your initial assessment of an adequate supply slowly increase over a few seasons... Next year (and the years after), three cords will be slightly less "depressing" after you get your systems in place.
 
One last picture. I just cleaned up everything today. Going to put the second coat of sealer on the driveway now after a pressure wash.

That was a lot of work. It took 10 days multiple hours every day. My hands swelled up for days moving all that wood. I don't know what I would have done without the log splitter. Thank goodness I will probably never have to process 9 trees at the same time ever again.

Sure looks pretty drying there though...
