Hello. Our kids put crayons(we think) down the heat exchanger vents, resulting in a awful smell. We took the back off under the stove but couldn't find anything. Do we have to take off the parts with the red glue? Has this happened to anyone else?Any advice?

Ain't kids great. :)

I'm not familiar with your particular stove. But once you do get to where the heat exchanger is open. A buddy of mine successfully used diesel fuel as as good solvent for crayon.

He had a child draw on his 50" projection screen TV

Another plan is to send the rest of the family out for the day.....crank up the stove and open the windows. Let it "burn" itself clean.

Note: If you do use diesel to clean, let it evaporate before using your stove.

You may want to post the make and model of your stove. Someone may have advice on how to access it.

BTW, is there anything in your manual that can help?

Cheers
