Just happened to expand my search and randomly called places that might sell pellets. It paid off. I found a local mom and pop hardware store I called out of the blue. Guess what? They have been a Somerset dealer for years and get big shipments every August thru the heating season.

The beauty of this is they sell for $229 per ton and as a non-taxable fuel. Great deal! I just paid more per ton for 7 tons of Sets (with my 10% veterans discount) from Lowe's they had left over from last season but I wanted to cover my azz. This place has a very direct line with Somerset Pellet and will only and always deal this brand. Great news for me and the price is way right. Happy, Happy, Happy!

My plan is to reorganize the barn and things and keep stocking up. Maybe like firewood and have pellets on hand for many seasons. Wish everyone the best in pellet hunting. Spend some time and call any and every random hardware store, lumber yard, agri supply businesses, etc; This place was right here locally under my nose and I over looked them thinking "nah, they probably don't sell them........ I was very wrong.

I haven't found anything that cheap yet, well not ones I am willing to burn. ( I feed my pellet stove better quality food then my kids) ;)
The cheapest I can find is 249 for mix energex a pretty good pellet that I burned last year. Though my dad who lives on the property in my other house cant burn anything but softwood so I am probably going to be spending about 20 more a ton just so we dont mix them up and keep things simple.
I am going to start getting my pellets this month.

Pellets everywhere else around here are basically $250 per ton and some are junk pellets for that price. TSC had a pre-buy for $235 per ton here but wouldn't disclose which brand. Glad I held off because I would have been stuck with Fiber Energy Pellets which are junky or widely have terrible reviews.

I could have also gotten Pro Pellets which were good for $230 per ton pre-buy from my Harman dealer but I was busy and unable to pick them up when or before they had to go.

Now I've found something way better and cheaper. Better because they are less money per ton and a great pellet but also because there are no restrictions when I have to pay for or pick them up.

There are deals out there. You just need to put out a little time to find them. At least this case holds true here. Good Luck!

Its always a great find when you get a great pellet at a low price :)

It was not to long ago that the junk pellets were 198 a ton at HD.
