Grandma Bear Foot Question

The rods are for height adjustment on a irregular surface such as brick. There is a set screw in the ball to adjust it up and down the rod. Someone removed the original solid chrome balls and installed the soft bottom (furniture / chair pad?) to prevent marring the surface it was set on.



These are new parts in a Honey Bear from my collection, not for sale. They do come up on eBay.

They are smaller than the original 1 3/4" solid ball used on the door handle, and measure 1 5/8" diameter with a 10-24 National Course thread set screw.

You can get square tubing with holes predrilled along the entire length like adjustable shelf legs, and cut a short piece off to set the rod into until you find better. To adjust the height, put a washer on the rod, to lenghthen that leg if it rocks on an uneven surface.
