I was over at a friends the other day and he showed me his installation. I told him I was not sure it was up to snuff on code. Out of the back of the stove he has about a 12" piece of stainless flex and that runs into an adapter(flex to pipe) and then regular 3" pellet pipe out the wall and up. Don't get me wrong, I like it. It got rid of a 45 and a 90 and now is just a gentle bend which is what he was trying to do. The flex is wrapped in fireproof insulation and then with the heatproof tape-all of which is behind the stove and not even visible. I just question if you are legally permitted to do that..
