i screwed up by tripping with a pot of water (was going to use it to shut down the fire) and spilled the water on the front of the stove.it warped the lower lip of the door sill so theres a 1/2" to 3/4 inch minus on both sides from the bow in the middle..i'm terrible at spacial things but i put a flat piece of metal on the other 3 lips edges and they seem ok.is it really possible to hammer that bow out? and will this be a permanent fix or will it spring back when i heat the stove.is there an option to grind the bow off as best as possible or is that a silly idea?

Well first off you shouldnt have been putting water in the stove either. Next no i doubt you can straighten it anyway other than with a torch and that will not be easy either.

WHAT TYPE OF TORCH AND WHAT DO YPOU DO WITH IT
An acetylene torch you would heat it enough to soften the metal so you could reshape it. But that is risky to. does the warp effect the function?

YES CANNOT GET A SEAL ON THE DOOR CANT CONTROL BURN.I'VE TRIED USING OVERSIZED GASKETS BUT AFTER SEVERAL DOOR OPENING ITS NOT SEALING RIGHT AGAIN
