I own a profile 30 that was purchased in 2000. the problem i am having is that it will run for between 10 and 30 minutes then just stop. I have checked trouble shooting guides and they all say it is the low limit disc the problem i have is were the disc should be there is a plate there not a disc there never was one there no wires nothing. I have checked both the high limit switches and they are both good. does anyone have any idea what the problem could be ? . Also have you ever seen a stove with out this low limit switch installed i purchased the stove brand new in 2000.

You probably have one of the first models with a "photoeye", you'll likely need the photoeye relocation kit. Contact a dealer (Hearthtools is a good one that participates here) or Lennox directly about this. The photoeye is your problem though, it's either dirty or has gone bad. Open the side of the stove with the control panel (after unplugging the stove) chase down the yellow wires attached to your control board. If the photoeye is mounted in th back of the stove near the auger tube you need to clean the "slot" on the right side of the auger tube about half way up. An inspection mirror makes it easy to find (use your rearview mirror from your car if you lack an inspection mirror). If your photoeye is located in the hopper itself then you already have the photoeye relocation kit and just need to disassemble the cover and clean the lense. I have worked on a few profile 30's
everytime there was a problem it was the ash pan or that Stupid Photo Eye.
Note your serial # and call your dealer and see if you need the relocation kit.
But I would just clean the eye first.

I have the same problem, you may try getting some canned air and blowing it around the right side where the pellets feed. The other thing that may be causing the problem is your air intake damper, make sure its wide open when you light it. They also told me not to buy pellets with low ash content, but this hasn't made a difference for me.

Thank you guys for all your replies i cleaned out the photo eye and adjusted the air damper and it has been running very good again.
I checked were the photo-eye is located at and it is on the left side of the feeder if looking from the back of the stove does not look like fun to change so i guess i need to look for the relocation kit for it.
