Lopi blower removal... What am I missing?

The insert must be leaning forward and putting pressure on the blower. If your stone hearth is somewhat uneven then this is likely the problem. The blower only has 2 - 3/8" bolts. See if you can tilt the stove back a little and relieve the pressure.

Only two bolts, so I agree with webby, don't know what else it could be. With my stone hearth, I have to watch out for that very thing.....
