I been kinda a lurker for a year in this forum. My wife and I finally pulled the trigger on a new P35i. We bought from Higgins Energy, they matched a few shops with a great price. Bob installed it today, and it looks great. Very impressed by Higgins in Barre MA.

Looking at Pellets now, feeling I am going to need three tons, and probably going with LeCrete or Okanagan Gold. Any recommendations is always helpful. Coming from Electric heat, so hopefully save some big money this year.

Also anyone who lives in central mass, that has idea how much to order.

Thanks

Brian

Welcome. Appears you may have a double post:) Feel free to delete one. May take a bit of time for your first posts to come up as they go through a moderator.

Good buy! I've been pleased with my p35i. Enjoy the warmth.

Welcome and congrats! I got my Harman last year, live in Greater boston. Here's my 1st year experience.

Burned about 3 tons of lacrete's last year. Have a 2000 sq ft, 2 storey house, and the stove keeps ground floor and one upstairs BR warm. Burned daily from about 7am-10pm, then went to the oil burner for the upstairs overnight, using about 1.5 bags during that time, the baby and small kids are home every day. Burned probably November - April. House was nice and warm for the most part during the days.
I reduced my oil consumption by 50% with the stove.

Keep your stove as clean as possible since a cleaner stove puts out better heat.
Enjoy!

If funds and storage aren't an issue buy 4 tons or more..you don't want to get used to a warm house in the winter only to run out of pellets and then pay 2x the cost in January or February. I went through almost 4 tons last winter here in Maryland burning 24/7. Winters are a little longer and much colder in your neck of the woods so I think 3 tons would leave you relying on electric heat in the coldest months.

Congrats I have a P35 and love it as well.Last year used 3 tons.If youhave the room and money 4 is better.I run mine 24hr a day with a stop and cleaning every weds.since oil is so cheap I'm going to run the oil and fire up the stove when it gets cold cold.good luck

Congrats on your new stove. Love my 35i, like other have stated 4 tons is better than 3, 5 is better than 4!!! You get the picture!!! Stay warm!!! Holla!!!!
