Piping through floor joist? Is there such thing as an oval stove pipe?

I'm in a bit of a dillema. I want to install a second pellet stove in my basement, the location in which I want to install it would require the exhaust pipe to go through a single floor joist. Obviously, there are restrictions on the diameter of a hole that can be cut in a floor joist.

Has anybody been faced with this and been able to come up with a solution? Is there such this as an oval pipe, albeit a small length, that I could go from round to oval, then back to round again that would somehow meet the code?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Shoot a few pictures and maybe someone will have an alternate route for the venting.
 
This would be a corner setup, the other corner has a deck above it. The clearance between the deck joists and what the pipe, and the pipe to the ground would be is a couple of inches.
 
The spacing between the joist in question and the foundation is a couple of inches at best.

its been many years since tin knocked , but u can go round to oval but not the other way. i"m sure in the past 40 years there are many adapters for you to chose from now , we did this freehand
