Castle Serenity auger issue this am

This morning was roughly the tenth or so time I've run the stove -- everything was running fine and then I realized the fire was out. Shut down the stove and attempted to restart -- no pellets falling into the burnpot. Went into the diagnostics to confirm and sure enough the auger wasn't feeding. Had to go to work, but looking into it when I get home -- hoping there's just a pellet jammed in there or something like that . Haven't done any maintenance on this stove yet as it's new so not sure how much of a job this is going to be....

Found a jam at the bottom of the auger - turning fine now...never had to deal with one of those before - the 10-cpm just pushes them through with some squeaking lol.

I typically burn Maine Woods pellets -- for the price they're pretty good. I had a thought though -- they're a pretty dusty pellet...with the Englander being a top feed it really doesn't matter as gravity eventually gets those fines into the burn pot. The Serenity feeds from the bottom though - I wonder if it's possible that the fines will collect and the bottom of the auger and cause binding over time. I could test it I guess by sifting a few bags....

Correct - I wasn't very clear in what I wrote. What I was trying to say was the Englander auger feeds from above the burnpot in the direction of gravity from the hopper so that fines can slide down as well, whereas the Serenity auger starts from below the burnpot against gravity. They're both top feed stoves relative to the burnpot itself.
