Burning Hunk

45 degrees out this morning, house was 68. Perfect weather really. The high today is supposed to be 75 and the extended forecast shows temps in the upper 30's at nights so I figured it was time to take the cap off the vent, open up the windows and let the 52i come back to life. Took out the container of damp rid, and cranked it to high. Started right up and even with all the windows open I'm getting hot. Buying a snow blower this week so I say bring on winter. Hope everyone has a great and safe burning season. Clean your stoves and check your smoke/CO detectors folk!

Had my first fire yesterday. Gave the stove a good going over filled up the hopper and let her rip, had me roasted out in no time!
Company coming today (city folks) don't want to freeze them out of my old farm house.

Glad everything started up as expected!

Had my first stove cleaning yesterday - been burning for several weeks (not continuously - except for two dark, wet, cold days)

I've been using my stove intermittently since late September. I may have used 2 bags total so far.
