:(

Trying to put the Englander in the corner - we have someone coming over to help install tomorrow.

Any ideas as to how we could put one together (I know, I know, it's a stretch :) )? What a bummer. We've called EVERYwhere --- HD, Lowes, Ace, Abuchon, etc etc.

Let me add -- if I'm unable to find a 45, and install it straight with plans to change it, will it affect the heat flow? My intention is that placing it in the corner will give the best air flow since the vents/blowers are on the side. Thoughts?

Thanks all.

ace hardware can order it, they usually have it in 2 days,I know that it doesnt help for a install your planning for tommorrow, but I have had good luck with my local ace store. any local stove shops close?they seem to have more items in stock.what do you mean "install it straight"?

Hadn't thought of a chimney sweep.

So very strange that I have called about 20 stores - and none of them carry the elbow (they all carry stoves)!

wow the ace near me said no problem for the parts I needed. acehardwareoutlet.com shows everything ANY ace store can special order, anything on that site you can see, your local ace can get.all the prices you see are in bulk since its the official ace site for the branches.

Did you try Tractor supply, they sell stoves and dura vent pellet vents. The one in Liberty has them.

Dumb question, but why is regular DuraVent so much more expensive than pro? So far every site that I've found that sells pro sells it for a lot cheaper than the standard stuff. It doesn't make any sense.

If you're in a hurry for your pipe don't buy it from Forcornstoves.com. The website says pipe ships in one to two days and I was in a hurry because another company waited a week before telling me it was backordered so I only needed one more peice (the wall thimble) to install my stove. And I told them that when I ordered. Day 4 (not counting Sunday) I called to see why there was no tracking number for my order and was told it had shipped that day but they couldn't give me a tracking number yet. Day six I sent them an e-mail asking for a tracking number. They replied by e-mail that my order had shipped and they would get the tracking number for me. Day eight I got a tracking nuumber and went to UPS only to find that my order had not shipped until day seven and wouldn't be delivered until day 11 due another weekend. So I was flat out lied to twice about the shipping date. On day four I had placed a duplicate order with an eBay seller who had feedback saying he was a fast shipper. I canceled that order when Forcornstove.com assured me that my order had shipped that day. It cost me $5 to cancel that order. So even though their web page says ships in one to two days, it doesn't.

I also noticed that the regular Simpson Dura-Vent was more expensive than the Pro. Somewhere on this website I read that the regular Dura-Vent and the corn vent were being discontinued and replaced by the Pro.
