Just received my outside air kit and got half of it installed yesterday on the back of the stove. Right now I'm looking at the best way to run the intake system from the top of the chimney down to the stove. The chimney cap I was given from my dealer is simply a square cap that attaches to the top of the chimney via caulk and is a single direct vent for the exhaust. There are no provisions for an intake system.
Do they make caps with an intake/ exhaust set up or is it a solution I'll have to come up with on my own? Any creative solutions on here? Seems like the simplest thing to do would be drill a hole for my intake but I'm worried about keeping rain and animals out of it. It would also position the exhaust and intake with about 8" of each other.
