Aftermarket combustion blower

I purchased a Fasco aftermarket combustion blower for my Breckwell Classic Cast because yet another OEM motor's bearing are shot. I figured it couldn't hurt to try a Fasco, seeing as I've replaced 3 of these blowers in the past seven seasons. There is a black (hot?) and white (neutral?) wire that had proper ends to go to the stove wires. But I went to install it and the electrical posts on the motor are the same, no markings. I figured if I hooked it up wrong, it would rotate the wrong way. How can I tell which is which? Does it even matter? There was no literature in the box... Thanks!

no matter how you connects the motor rotation will not change

It does not matter which wire is connected to which
Some one will come along and explain why
It takes more than reversing wires to make an AC
motor to run the other direction

Hi Buggs, on my Breckwell Big E the combustion motor is and open coil type and if you need to change rotation direction you just flip the coil. Don't toss the old motors the bearings can be replaced it not that difficult all you need is a mini torch some red Locktight and some new high temp 308 bearings they can be had on eBay or Grangers, McMaster Carr save your self some money and have a spare on hand.
