Hey Guys, I have a question for you all. With my England PVD 25 set on number 1 on the pellet feed and number 4 on the fan speed we are noticing black soot on the door glass. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or to minimise it? Thanks Lance

I think it is normal. When I do any cleaning (Daily, weekly, annual), I wipe the COLD glass down with a wet paper towel and it is clean again.

Burning them real low like that, is tough to keep the glass from sooting up.
Some pellets are better than others for minimizing it, though.
Try upping the under fire air... that can help..

Another vote for normal. On such a low setting, you're going to get soot on the glass. You can tweak the air and feed to try to prolong it but it will soot up. I don't know if other brands do the same thing or not but even at higher settings the glass does not remain clear. I don't get soot however it gets coated with ash.
My first year this drove me nuts and I would shut down the stove daily and clean it so I could see the flames dancing. After that I just gave up and clean the glass when I clean the stove. Then I enjoy the clear glass for the 4-6 hrs before it ashes up again.

It's normal as far as my experience. Mine does the same thing, just have to clean it with a rag and some glass cleaner when it's cool so don't bother leaving your fan speed at 4...crank her all the way up to 9 so you get that heat blown out as far as it will go :).
