I may have to try that (the stove temp) with the P43 when it is time to take it off of room temp / auto light. I find when I put it in manual, the blower turns off most of the time it is idling - which means it isn't pushing the heat toward the bedrooms that are over the garage (obviously coldest rooms in house). Of course, it may do the same thing in stove temp, so I may end up setting up a fan in the hallway to help the heat go down to the rooms (no, pushing cold air out doesn't work - just brings more cold air up from the garage).
I leave it on auto. Gives me full control of the blower. I am running it on medium, right in the middle. Came home just now to 65* downstairs (stove is downstairs) and still holding 66* upstairs. The 20" box fan pulls the heat up through the 16X24" floor grate awesome. Gets total circulation. Also looks like I barely burned 1/2 a bag all night. Maybe 2/5ths :)

How many bags have you folks gone through so far this early in the season. Going through a bit of a brisk spell north of Boston and I just opened my 4th bag in total.
Halfway thru bag two. 20f last night. Auto mode on my Harman Accentra Insert.

So, after looking at pictures of my stacks taken last month, and counting the 8 bags of random bags that I bought since then, I am at close to 20 +/-.

With the price of propane, I love not hearing the sound of my 1980, 75% efficiency boiler going >>.

Zero. But I did just clean out the stove real good in anticipation of starting her up next week or two.

Looks like Patricia is coming up and going to leave us some snow next week. Only stove in the house not been fired lately is the Elena.

On my 4th bag, gong to be cold this weekend so probably another 2-3 this weekend

my 4th bag yesterday, probably one more tonight, then its supposed to warm back up a bit this week

How much of a bag do you burn per hour at cruising temp?

#13 just went in. Started first week of Oct on #2 setting, usually evenings thru overnight only. Once below freezing outside I bump it up to level 3. Usually run #3 all season long 24/7. 200+ year old house, not super-insulated, downstairs 70ish, upstairs 66-68 just the way mama likes it!

Anyone, any way to know this?
One 40lb bag in 24 hours = 1.66lb's of pellets per hour... Many factors will change this. My P61 on its lowest continuous setting, will burn about 1.3-1.4lb's per hour. That's with feed rate on 1, temp dial on 1.
