We found a 45, and it says ameri-vent 3EAL type B-gas vent. It's 3" and fits with our pellet piping. It's only missing the insulation roping that's in the other piping, but we can get that at curtis lumber.

Will it work?

It may fit but it's not the right vent to use. Pellet stoves require PL vent.
 
Absolutely not what you have found is B-vent meant for venting gas appliances. The inner liner of that is likely going ot be aluminium and will turn to swiss cheese if used in a wood/pellet installation.
 
I know that the B gas vent won't hold up long term but I also know that it's cheap and would allow her to do the rest of the install now so my question is could the elbow be used temporarily until a pellet elbow can be shipped to her? Is this just to dangerous to do since the elbow would be inside the house?

It wouldn't pass inspection with the gas vent. And even if someone didn't care
about that aspect, once you've sealed the joints with the hi temp rtv and put the
three screws in each joint, it's a pita to separate this stuff.
For those reasons and the fact that I believe in doing it right the first time,
I wouldn't use it.

We decided not to use it after really taking a look at it. We thought about fitting it just until Monday, but then - for safety- decided not to.

Luckily, I got on the phone and found a warehouse that stocks parts locally - got the proper 45 elbow in. All is well, the Englander is up and running... I wanted to reply to this thread yesterday, buuuut, they cut our cable line in two while installing. Sheesh!
