Anyone notice home depot drop the price? I see this year they started at 269 and it quickly dropped to 259. My neighbor just told me he saw a sign today that said Sale : $250.

I didn't go check it out but I wouldn't be surprised if this were true.... my HD (Poughkeepsie) has been sitting on the same 20 tons for months.

Just checked inventory and the local HD is showing 44 ton at $250. Be interesting to see what happens to that price in three or four more warm weeks. I may go in and play "lets make a deal" in a couple of weeks.

Since there are five or six HD stores in a 40 mile radius. Four in a 20 mile radius.

Edit: Just checked and the one four miles from that one has 83 tons and one a few miles farther has 135 tons.

Yes I've been checking quite often because I wasn't about to pay 269 for the pellets they are offering... I intend to try going in and asking for 10% off if I take 6-8 tons off their hands.
they really are sitting there collecting dust.
I put a piece of tape on the easiest to get to ton with a forklift and that taped ton has been there 2 months.

that's because the pellets they are selling are some of the worst.
total crap. also the lowes will not give 10% off on the pallets because they say they are already discounted/contractor price. not sure if HD will give the 10%

The local Lowe's is at $259 at the moment too. And they give me the 10% vet discount on them.

Just went by a TSC in NH and they have spray-painted Pellet Sale on several tons piled up in the parking lot, with more out back. Didn't stop in.

$259 here dropped $10 whoopy f'n do da, I hear my oil furnace running right now, no work, no dust and no mess!
Next week going to be in the 70's here NO HEAT NEEDED!

Local Home Depot here has Stove Chow for $259/ton.

They also have Fireside Platinum Premium for $299/ton.

HD did the same thing out here, started at 259 and dropped to 249. Lowes wants 299. Last year I paid 199 at HD so I picked up 2 tons at the end of the season.

As of this past Friday, pellets at my closest HD was still $259. They have at least 15 tons in the back that I was able to see but probably have a lot more. These are all Green Turds. The worst pellet I burned last year. I will probably make a purchase soon from Lowes. Their pellet offerings are very good IMO for the same price.

All the lowes near me sell only GS,HD had FSU earlier, now there all GS crap

HD dropped $20 here, Indeck

Not only is warm weather affecting this drop but fuel oil has remained steady at low prices since the summer. In my neck of the woods it's ALMOST cheaper to burn oil and for some here the lack of labor associated with fossil has tilted the scale.

Tried both Indeck and Greens last year in five bags test batches. Not impressed.

Was not impressed with the Indecks either but far better than the year before(first year production) Stocked up on local branded Marth products that are ok but glad I can blend some hotter cheaper corn. Feed the Elena Lumber Jack blended premium.

Some Blowes DO give .MIL discount. I got it this year and each year prior.
