I just bought a house where the previous owners passed away. It has a Valor 737-AP insert (propane). The rear burner doesn't allow the flame to travel across the burner.. the front does but you can't see it in my picture. Thinking I need to buy a new nice clean rear burner?

Before you put any money into that unit, pull the rear burner & make sure
the burn tube is clear. Wear safety glasses & blow it out with an air compressor.
After you blow it out, make sure each of the burner ports are also clear.
Reassemble, test it & let us know how you made out.

Thanks I will do that tonight. The guy that came last night vaccumed it out, cleaned glass, said "its broke" and charged me $80. Said he could install a new burner if I order the part and pay him $250 in labor. I certainly passed on that. I will report back. Hey I've done patriot guard rides in NY :)

I think I got it!? Sorry for the delay, I was at hunting camp. The tube was filled with carbon junk! I cleaned it all out and cleaned out the holes. Who knows the last time it was done or if the previous owner was getting poor quality propane. I fired it up and took a picture. Wish more heat came out of the unit.. there is no blower. I don't think I can install one. How's it look?

You're probably only getting 15K BTU - MAX - out of that unit.
There are definitely better units out there, but if it'll heat the
room you're in, that's what it is designed to do.
