Hi, I just purchased the Harman XXV last week and since it was installed it failed twice to start. The light was blinking 5 times and I had to restart. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Is it new or used?

Failed igniter perhaps?

5 blinks is a "failed to light" condition which you already know. We need more information. Is it feeding pellets? Does it run if you light it manually? Have you tried it in test mode? If it's new I'd be calling the dealer and asking for warranty service.

Someone just posted they resolved their same issue by turning the feed rate down to 3.5. Apparently heavy ash(bargin pellets) was plugging the works according to the posting.

In that case it may be the pellets. Perhaps they are damp and after they have been heated by the first lighting attempt they dry out enough to light on the second try.

The feed rate setting is irrelevant during stove start up.

The startup is fine. Users issue is that when it tries to restart (after turning off due to reaching room temperature), there is a 5 blink status. Once user turns knob off and back on, the stove lights fine.
Right....that's why I'm saying feed rate has nothing to do with that, in this thread or the one referenced above.
