Lot`s of discussion on this subject, except what speed they should be running? I`m assuming that most of them are 3 speed like my own are? Been running them on the slowest speed, and am wondering if this is correct? Can some of you that are using the ceiling fans perhaps shed some light on this? Thanks.

Mine has 6 speeds, I have it on 5.
I don't think there is a set speed for all instances. Best bet is to experiment and see what works best for your set up & home layout. What works for me, or Joe Shmoe might or night not work for you and vise-versa.

There are so many variables - probably the most important is how air moves around in your house, so there is no right answer. Some find that pulling the air up works best, and for others pushing the air down works better, so I guess that would also apply to the speed of the fan. Again - play around with it and find out works best in your situation.

As Harley stated there are many variables and each house is different. I have a 3-speed Hunter and run it on low or medium.
