Question...
is any of it covered, other than that in the wood shed?
Do you use the wood shed for current use and then relocate open wood to shed to keep it dry before use?
Very impressive!

I'm only covering the current year use (in the shed plus about a chord on the deck under a tarp) People told me here that I would burn between three and four cords, so I built a shed to hold four cords. Since there are mixed opinions about top covering, and the wood is in an open area, and my bride loathes tarps, I'm trying seasoning in the open.

With coaching from Hogwildz here, I got a chainsaw to buck logs and got a splitter and split logs and learned to clean my own flu. What a complete blast. Thank you for the complement.

Do you have any other vertical supports in the middle of the stacks or just on the ends? Looking to do something similar for mine!

No need to worry about covering the other stuff. It will be just fine. As long as you have "this" years wood under cover (shed or the stuff tarped on the deck) you will be golden.

Nicely done.

Mryank, only on the ends.

Which insert did you go with?
Recency 3100. Following the advice here, and insisting that we following suggestions like a block off plate, blanketed flue, insulation, etc, my "over the top installation", according to the installer (who must usually cut corners) has exceeded my expectations. I love this unit! Simple, and throws boat loads of heat.
