Have you got to the low limit switch and gave it a good cleaning. This stove line needs that snap switch clean so it can warm up to 130F and close the auger circuit. Does not take much ash or carbon to insulate

Sounds like something on the board:( The fan is supposed to come on immediately and one is supposed to start in 3 or 4 according to the manual. I would check the voltage to the fan when one turns it on to eliminate the possibility of a worn motor not wanting to move till it gets full voltage. Maybe Stovensen or Snowy can chime in

Oh, Stovenson... Snowy Rivers.... Whit owner needs a rescue... Try PMing either of them. Whitfield gurus.

Very good to hear. Have yet to see any real cold like last year. Weather person was comparing this year to last and we had at this time 6 days in a row that the highs were only into the 20's. Was 60 again here for third day in row:)

Board has taken a leave on ya.

A few options.

Find a good used board, buy a new old stock board (Ebay for both of these choices)
Get a new board from one of the dealers who support this forum.

Attempt to repair your board.
Send it out to one of several repair outfits that advertise online

What has most likely happened is the TRIAC has failed

The triac controls the speed of the draft fan as well as other things.

This type of failure was not uncommon with the big whits.

Which board to you have ???
One with a start button at the top, a slider switch to turn on the auger and a blower speed knob, or the touch pad type.

Which is it ???

The final option is to build a new controller as I did for my Prodigy.

The controller for the big Whit needs to have the start circuit as well (My Prodigy controller does not use a start circuit)
This is not a biggy, just need to install a one shot timer that feeds main power through past the low limit switch until the switch closes in response to heat.

There is a complete schematic on the forum here if you're up to the challenge.

I have tested the arrangement and it works very well.

Choices

Good luck

Snowy

Snowy, they got the board back from a repair shop and its running now:)

Warmth is lovely this time of year :)
