I went to split and stack some more wood yesterday and almost started crying!

I had just finished the 2nd cord in my new woodshed and was going to go and start on cord #3, and I found this:

Piss poor stacking job and I have only myself to blame.

Took about 20 minutes before I could even stand on solid ground and not split wood and about an hour and a half to finish restacking it all again, including realigning the first cord so the 2nd cord would lean against the pole barn.

Oh well, lesson learned.

On the bright side at least it will only happen once.....

Be careful of the splitter, I cracked the oil fill tube and gas tank by tossing wood toward the splitter. Its all plastic and it cracks easy in cold weather. The whole top of my engine is light plastic.

Yeah! Just cracked my plastic tub wheelbarrow with an easy toss, small split that hit it "just right".

Plastic vs split = broken plastic

Ouch, been there done that. The sore back keeps reminding you to not do it again.

Ah. I thought your wood had been stolen or the shed burnt down.

Free exercise.

Yea, it could have been a lot worse.

Thanks for the encouraging words!

And the tub cost as much as the wheelbarrow. Don't ask me how I know that.

I thought at first glance that somebody had split your wood for you and didnt tell you.:) Then I scrolled down:(.

I've had to re-stack more than that, after a crash. :(

I think your wood is drying too fast and causing it to topple. LOL LOL javascript:void(null);

True, even a set of GOOD replacement handles can get pretty steep. $$$$$$$

Ha, I bought one of those and broke it in less than 4 hours. Luckily I got a refund.

Ugh, I hate when that happens. My top cover tarps tend to fill with water in between the stacks and topple one side or the other over. It is pouring out now and I am half expecting to see at least one of my stacks knocked down in the morning.

Yep…builds character...

get a 1/8" or 3/16 alumn. plate for inside the wheelbarrow stops busting out the bottom. ya I wiped one out in the cold a few years back .

I had a cord in a set on a rack in the back corner of my yard, I went out on a scrounge this morning, came home and the entire rack was on it's side. I'd be even more angry, but I got about 2 cords of red oak, Ash and walnut this morning, so I cant complain. I'll just have to re-stack. These are the things we have to deal with. It could be worse, you could pay a $700 electric bill for 4 or 5 months.
