Can someone advise how to change an Igniter in a P68. I have changed one in my Harman Advance, now I need to change a relatives P68. Thanks in advance.

It's been 3 or 4 years since I had to change mine, but here goes. Below the burn pot, you will see a cover with 2 screws. Remove the cover, that is where the igniter is. I would vacuum the area out. I believe the igniter is held by spring clips. Should come right out.

You may have to take off a panel or two in the back of the stove. Trace the wires from the element and cut them. Install the new igniter and splice in the new wires. I used wirenuts, as they are rated for 120V.

Easy job.

Use the search bar above and I am sure you will find answers to your question. I shouldn't be much different than when you did your stove. I have not need to replace one yet but I have read many threads about it and everyone says it is fairly easy.

If I recall correctly IIRC there are a couple of screws that hold the igniter cradle onto the bottom of the burn pot. Not sure if you need to take the cradle out but it might make the job easier.

just pulled mine out the other day, its a 2015 mod yours might be different tho , there's a small tab looking piece of metal that slides up and releases a metal plate covering it and holds it in place it comes out at a bit of an angle as does the igniter one end of it is round and it slides in to a slot of sorts so you'll have to move it around a lil to pull it out, there are two wires , remove and replace ,only takes a couple min, while your in there clean out the box and burner holes .easy job once you figure how to slide the old one out. harman web site should have the directions on it. hard to see just what's going on in there its more going by feel type of thing.lol..
