Temp dropping into the mid 20s tonight so i figured good enough for the first burn of 2015-16 season.Wood good and seasoned and temp in home climbing from 68 to 73 now and still climbing.Afterburner still working like a charm after 6 years.Heres a pic!You can see the afterburner chamber in action threw the glass.

Have had a few fires going off and on in my new QF 5100i. Same for me last night, got it cooking pretty good watching the game last night and a good bed of coals this morning. Loaded it up again before I left for work. The wife works from home. Hoping it will still have a good bed of coals when I get home today. Stratford CT here.

"Afterburner" sounds way cooler than "Secondaries".
Its nice and i like the fact that you start with a open damper which helps cut down on a smokey start. The bad part is you need hot coals and a good downdraft for the afterburner to work well.
