Hi all, finally got our new Hearthstone Shelburne installed and inspected, etc. Started our break in fires Monday night, really started to let it rip last night.

Overall first impressions are good, beautiful looking stove, good viewing glass (especially at night). The EPA secondary firing is cool to watch. I just tested my very expensive (first year) "seasoned" wood that's been sitting in our wood shed since July, and it's still about 20%-23%, which isn't bad, but not great either. I'm still learning and playing with it to get most/longest burns. I filled her up at about 0900 last night and I came down this morning at 0630 and there were a few tiny coals, still 68 degrees in the house and it was still warm to the touch. Not terrible for a 2.3 cu/foot firebox.

With oil being so cheap and us paying $350 a cord this summer for our wood -- it's seems a little cheaper to run our thirty year old furnace. I'm still going to burn Wednesday evening -> Sunday evening through most of the winter because I like the wood heat more, and it gets to be low 80s in the downstairs of our home. I have a little wood all ready for next year, and am on the looking for more.

... and of course some pictures! (excuse the mess :) )
