Im having issues with buttons not working on my 5660 panel. It's been an intermittent issue. After the startup mode completes it will seem to get stuck in thermostat mode won't allow me to change into manual mode or adjust fan speed or heat level. Only fix seems to be to shut the stove down and try again. Would only permanent fix be replacing the panel? ? This would be the second panel I have installed on this stove, first time the auger motor wouldn't shut off. Are they any updated or aftermarket panels for this stove?? Thanks

This is normal. It locks you out till the 10min start up phase is complete. The auger cycles and fan are preprogrammed . This is 100% normal and your unit is operating properly.

Hello
If you buy an Enviro EF-3 bay view auger timing module, power module, blower control module, heat level on/off switch and start switch, download the manual with diagram you could build a really nice stove control!

You could also purchase a Hudson River Saranac digital control panel HR137s and wire harness and install that since the stoves are so similar.

Another option is a Napoleon NPS 45 digital control panel and wire harness.

It would be a fun project and great learning experience!

Are these plug and play?? Sounds like I would have to do a lot of rewiring. Wish I could but dont think the wife will deal with no stove...hahha

He has the old control board, not the new one that's on the 2013 / 14 / 15 stoves.

I did the HR Saranac control board and wire harness swap. This will be the second season since changing and all is running well. The physical size of the controller is different, so you have to be a little crafty with the installation. The wiring is a piece of cake though. The upgrade adds thermostat on/off control as well unlike the original board with high/low only. I find it difficult to tune this stove to run well at low fire and high fire without fiddling with it for each setting. The on/off functionality gets around that. I would rather install a new $30 igniter each season than deal with how lousy these stoves run on low fire.
