how can i make them small

You can edit them by cropping the photos if you have photo editing software. That will allow some reduction in pixel count(after the fact). Or by editing the pixel volume in your camera settings to a lower pixel count(before you take the pictures)
You can also save the pictures in a different file format to alter them. But you need software that will allow graphic file formats to be saved as a different file.
Usually Adobe Acrobat can do this.
I usually take pictures at 6 megapixels and they seem to be too large to download here, I have to crop them. 3.2 megapixels I think is the lowest quality setting I have on my camera.

It really is just as simple as resizing the picture so that it isn't some multi meg behemoth. There are about 1001 ways to do it. Using the default Microsoft program "Paint" that came with your computer is one way.

Picassa is a free photo editing utility. Just do a web search for it.

Here's an easy, quick method for smalling down photo files: email them to yourself in medium or small format. Then save the received files and upload them here.

Install Xnview. It's easy to use and will do lots of nice things for your photos.

When uploading to the Internet, size your photos about 800-1000 pixels wide. Anything more is a waste.

I too use tapatalk...easy to post photos.
